Yes, this is a side story of sorts. A fan wrote this, but it is part of 863 canon. There will be 3 more canon, fan-written, stories. The main paid stories will start in August.
Ya Matthais said they were losing about $15k per episode so I get making no more videos, but it would be awesome if they would go back to the beginning and start the whole story over as part of the novel. That way to introduce people to the universe we can use a book rather than hours and hours of youtube videos.... just my thought on it
Here is the thing, as a business owner you have to make a profit on a project for it to continue. If you are not making more than you spend, that extra cost has to come from somewhere in the business... So, which would you choose if it was your decision? Keep making the videos and shut down the entire Spellbound company in 18 months or cut the 863 videos and move the people from that to different projects with no expiration in sight. For me, it would be an easy choice... allow my friends and subordinates to keep gainfully employed and stop the videos.
As much as we all love the story and universe Matt has created, I love the people of Sam and Woods ( and the others) more. I watched them grow on BattleUniverse and have seen them thrive in 863, but I do not like the story more than them.
My 19 year old daughter and I did everything we could to help (spellbound plus, and then the advanced membership) all but the vinyl... and we are sad to see it go, but your personal life is not effected by this decision, but Matt, Sam and Wood's were...
This is amazing! I like that you put in a couple of big words bc I'm not a very good reader and I don't know what a lot of words mean so this helps me learn how to pronounce words and to know the meanings of words that I didn't even know existed! Thanks for all your hard work! Love you
